You should have asked me what are Ambulocetus and Smilodon! I study @ the Biology Faculty of the Bucharest University;) I knew the answers to these questions for quite some time. _________________

Yes, the Earth's history holds a lot of treasures waiting to be discovered. _________________ Still round the corner there may wait

Couldn't have said it better myself. And one of those treasures waiting to be discovered is a complete skeleton of Amphicoelius (the largest herbivorous dinosaur that ever roamed the Earth). The only piece that was found until now was lost during World War II.It was a small piece of vertebrae. But there must be a skeleton somewhere waiting. It would be a fenomenal discovery.Maybe someone of Paul Sereno's caliber will one day achieve this. _________________

I thought Argentinosaurus is the biggest dinosaur ever discovered... I've never heard of the one you're speaking about. _________________ Still round the corner there may wait

of course. Giganotosaurus is bigger too. -.- _________________ "You give me power, you give me reason, will you love me? Time only knows."

Carcharadontosaurus is a bigger carnivorous dinosaur than T-Rex and Giganotosaurus is bigger than Carcharadontosaurus.(Carcharadontosaurus saharicus is the complete scientific name...).C. saharicus was discovered by Paul Sereno in 1996 and Giganotosaurus a little later.Anyway, both species, even though they were larger, could not fight a T Rex which had better teeth and was stronger.
About Argentinosaurus-it is now the biggest dinosaur but because more skeletal remains have been found. No wonder you haven't heard about Amphicoelius-it's generally not mentioned and as I said in my previous post the only skeletal part that was found was a small piece from a vertebra and was lost during WW II.No one managed to find it or discover other remains since then. _________________

I see. Too bad. I just hope we'll be able to know all these things some day. When I was little, I wanted to become a paleontologist, and so my parents bought me a lot of books on dinosaurs. But now it's just a hobby... _________________ Still round the corner there may wait
