I'm thinking in write a level converter, POP-I to POP-II and vice-versa (a Delphi Object Pascal Application), but this depends. Basically if the records/structures/data were easy to read and easy to understand I can build a level converter.

I know how to read C/C++ record types or structures, any info is valuable. I hate C/C++ but I know it. Laughing

Maybe my english wasn't understood but here goes Confused

1 - the organization of information according to preset specification.
2 - determine the arrangement of data for storage and display.

I've made a complete document with the specifications and have put it online at https://gforge.lug.fi.uba.ar/plugins/scmcvs/cvsweb.php/FP/doc/FormatSpecifications?rev=1.75;content-type=text%2Fplain;cvsroot=freeprince

Thanks 'poirot'. Razz

I had your FreePrince, well, I had downloaded it a long, long time, but I never took a look at the files. Recently I downloaded the latest nightly tarball. I have some interest in FreePrince but only when it is done.

I have Slackware Linux installed here. But I never compiled the FreePrince using the Gnu C Compiler and even on CygWin or MingW C/C++ compilers. I think you know what are these things. Wink

Well, DJGPP I think I could compile it. I also don't know if your app use SDL or some library.

I took a look at some of your own posts in the hex-editting thread and I discovered you have a disassembled version of prince.exe. Man! I need to say one thing: You really like of Prince of Persia! Smile

Butcher, I have sent you a PM including some part of total pack source code.
It includes the levelset tweaking, pc-to-mac level converter and random level generator.
The source code is not arranged well but I hope to help you for making pop1-to-pop2 level converter.
I think that it will be so diifficult but it is not impossible.

Thanks starwindz! Great contribution!!!

I interested in the pc-to-mac level converter part, I never knew that there are differences between the pc and the mac version. But I need to do a little warning. Wink

I'm still thinking, man, this time I'm not promissing that I will build a level converter so easily. Maybe next month (October) it will be available.

I need to say one little thing: I would like to build and I want the level converter! And mainly I THANK YOU for the help!!! Cool
