Can someone please tell me how to get past this stage? How long does it take to wipe out this skeleton? I've been swiping at him for hours and the bridge still won't fall!
Is there a pattern or something that I'm missing? I really hope someone will help me out with this. I'm losing sleep!
Thanks,

I'm adding this reply to my own original post in the hopes that it will help someone else who may have difficulty figuring this part out.
The timing isn't everything, but it is a lot of it. However, the positioning on the bridge is the key.
It's already been stated (in the walkthru) that you have to swap places with the skeleton, but be careful in where/how you do this; if you advance too far (towards the left end of the bridge), you won't be able to detain the skeleton, no matter what you try. Slip past the skeleton (while still exchanging slashes with him, of course) right about the fourth or fifth plank from the left end of the bridge; if he turns toward the right end of the bridge, slash or step towards him to draw his attention back to you.
Now that you have his attention, the only thing left to do is push him backward just slightly right of the center of the bridge. You'll need to time your actions precisely, or you'll advance too far right to grab the bridge when it collapses. The best formula I've discovered is: block/slash/step back; step forward/block/slash/step back. This rhythm will drive the skeleton towards the weak part of the bridge, yet keep you close enough to turn and grab the bridge when it begins to collapse.
Keep in mind that once you get this positioning and pattern down correctly, it won't take long for the bridge to fall! I fought the skeleton for ages without the bridge ever collapsing, but once I discovered the correct position and timing, the bridge fell after only two or three blows to the skeleton.
You may have to work on this pattern a few times to get the timing down, especially turning and grabbing the bridge when it begins to collapse. But again, if you pay attention to the positioning on the bridge, you'll see the pattern and this will get fairly easy.
This has enabled me to go to bed happy tonight so I hope it will help someone else in the future. This has got to be one of the trickiest patterns I've ever tried to get past in any game. |

To get past this part, you have to dual the skeleton abit closer to the center of the bridge but not too close. Be abit to the left side of the bridge because when the Bridge falls off you'll grab the ledge, move on to turn on the hole so you'll escape with the carpet. |

Oops, I forgot. Try to move past the skeleton to get to the left side while the skeleton goes to the right. |

Well, record is amateur program It works under Dos, Windows 95&98&98SE and on Linux (using DosBox). On XP there are a lot of faults... |

I have dosbox 0.63, and it can only record sound and screenshots. How the hell are you making movies?!? Is it a newer version? |

you can record either with third party recording program (which required a special codec) or using dosbox 0.65 (which also required a new codec zmbv)
wait for me I will make a small guide showing how using dosbox 0.65 _________________ Those days are all gone now but one thing's still true -

it's very easy: install dosbox 0.65, while playing, press CTRL-ALT-F5, press these again to stop recording! when you want to view, go to start, all programms, dosbox 0.65, video, install codec. then go to start, all programms, dosbox, open capture folder and tadah! |
