I checked this, first sdlpop-only mod for me. It's incredible how far PoP modding has come, that we see quality products like this gem here.
Though I experienced a couple problems. In level 5, as soon as I entered the room to the left which had the first enemy, the game lagged for a few seconds and then it would periodically lag every 10 seconds or so. Not too invasive. In level 7, the game froze entirely when I was fighting the girl. I almost had to restart my pc, because the lag was too strong it wouldn't let me force quit sdlpop, though it eventually let me do it ... although to be fair, my laptop is old and outdated, so there may be some current things that it can't handle well enough.
To be more specific, the freezing happened when the girl was about to hit me back. This was after the 4th loose tile fell. If I understood correctly, floor tiles will collapse every time you hit the girl, though only if the previous tile has completely disappeared from the room
I haven't tested again. I'm leaving this information in case it may be a bug that could be fixed. hopefully. This problem aside, I was enjoying my time, the story is compelling and the difficulty is broadly accessible. Don't want to leave more spoilers so I encourage people to check this out.

While playing, I ran into a single minor bug now and then, where the prince got stuck in a jumping-up animation, requiring me to restart the game. Not that big a deal, given I could quickly re-reach specific levels by using the cheat code, but still.
