comments: I played (and finished) the first 5 levels. The levels look and feel like the original game's levels. The difficulty is very similar to the original game. Life potions (levels 2-5) are fairly easy to obtain, also feels similar to the original game. Basically, if you like the original game but want more, this is a nice mod to play. In level 5 you can prevent the shadow from stealing the life potion.

I agree with you norbert; I really love this modset just because it reminds the original game, but it's very harder and every level's really longest to complete. I came since level 7 then I closed the game cause I was tired, but soon I'll replay it again!

I just finished it! Really cool levelset, surely a bit longer than the original. In level 5 you can prevent the dark prince stealing the life potion, but I feel sad denying him the only LP he tooks, so I let him take it so I see he going away happy, and I know he return me the life in level 12.

currently stuck @ Level 8, in the room with 6 gates.
kinda reminds me of Coco's mods.
doable but the timing is tricky. :|

I liked this of FASHION. Here such fashion should be done where it is necessary and to think and play technically. It was pleasant to play, it is not necessary to think how to pass through walls and gate, etc. Thanks to the author. To whom it is interesting, can look:

Had this one sitting around for a while. I just finnished playing it entirely today, and I quite enjoyed my time.

Essentially, if the original levels were extended, remixed in a few aspects, and amped up the core difficulty a small notch. You can expect higher doses of spikes, chompers and drop buttons, altogether. I didn't spot any mandatory special tricks/exploits, so basic knowledge should be enough.

Because the levels are kind of long, with progression often involving some degree of backtrack, the extended timeframe of 90 minutes allows to relax a bit upon making mistakes, which I appreciated for a change. Many levels have a side quest to unlock a 1UP potion, and going for them will eat a minute or two. Most were fun.

Miscellaneous observations:

- A common mini "challenge" is when a short jump is the better option because long jumping will get you pierced by spikes on the same row. Might be a silly observation for skilled players, but it's a design trope I find lovely.
- The level 4 life potion had me stuck for a while. I casually figured it out when I went to take a small potion and the floor collapsed. It was a "aha!" moment.
- As other people mentioned, the 1UP in level 5 is easily obtainable. Must be intentional, no doubt. The shadow stood there looking confused and returned.
- I thought the start of level 7 was pretty cool. It became one of my favorite levels.
- Level 8 had one memorable room with six gates and a somewhat tricky sequence around them. That's certainly one way to make a single room pretty self involved. I found it hilarious ngl.
- Level 10 is perhaps the level you most go back and forth unlocking gates here and there. It still felt surprisingly easier than previous levels, if a little tedious at the end. Following levels also felt shorter and more relaxing. That's okay btw.
- I admit I laughed in the princess level. I almost believed every single room was used here.

That's all I have to say. Well made for what the author aimed to do.

This is a great mod 151 and I enjoy it very much.
I am stuck on level 7 after opening the level gate, I just cannot jump to the far right room. I ended up patching the level and add a tile. Can you please tell me how to finish that level?
greg (2025-08-17 08:54:53 UTC)

@greg: If you mean room 10: it doesn't matter if the gate closes, you can simply move to the edge, and make a left-right running jump from there.
norbert (2025-08-17 09:50:14 UTC)

@greg: Actually, I think I know what you mean now. You are trying to make a (running) jump from the top left to the middle right. Instead you should hang from the top right, and keep hanging until the prince lets go himself. Then you can grab the ledge below.
norbert (2025-08-17 10:06:11 UTC)

@norbert: many thanks, I did not know that trick!
greg (2025-08-19 16:39:20 UTC)

Prince can be stuck between the gates in level 10 room 3 with no way to continue or kill oneself. Can you please fix that room? So I tried the Ctrl-A shortcut to reset the level, but on an azerty keyboard that is Ctrl-Q and it exits to DOS...
