nice mod. :)
just a comment on the graphics. some posts don't have tiles above them, which makes them kinda look weird.
also, there seems to be a bug in Jaafar's level.
i fall through a solid tile when i take my first hit from him. can't recover anymore from that position.

Author commentary:
It's interesting to me how you can create something that can feel ambiguously faithful to the original PoP2 despite the huge number of differences. Most of the original game's main events and sequences are completely missing in any shape or form, logically since it's two different games. At the time, I had to get creative with limitations and draw around what felt most "accurate", like extensive background detailing or lack thereof where it made sense, chompers and spikes replacing PoP2 traps, guards replacing snakes/heads, and so on. Add that I had to choose which 8 rooms would not appear in my recreations, since PoP2 counts with 32 rooms in total, so lots of cutting edges, putting potions elsewhere and stuff.
Having replayed this one recently, I can think of many things I would have done differently -- for example, the skeleton in L3 should have been in the lowest row... Nevertheless, I'm content with the product as is, it's enjoyable in multiple ways and that's what matters at the end of the day!
