Wanted to play more from this author. I cleared this one in two days, not entirely how I would have liked to, though more on that later...

Indeed a nice levelset. I enjoyed it possibly a bit more than the author's previous set. It is richer in clever ideas and exploits a few of the level-specific events in quirky ways, while remaining a classic-oriented adventure in essence. Like in HWLev01, most of the challenge is around reaching gates before they close, making sure buttons remain pressed, and this or that tough guard that may have to be dealt with strategically. Knowledge of a few of the most common tricks is important again (e.g. the SNES lvl18 long jump is a recurrent setup). The author also raised the difficulty with figuring progression. It's not often gonna be clear which buttons do what, or where they may be, until you try and fail. In many cases, the button for the exit door must be found in a side quest before venturing farther, or you may end up softlocked. The blue potion that can activate stuff is introduced in level 1 and is the key of several setups in other levels (warning, poisons are also present!). Complexity in all senses is definitely a bit higher, though still thoroughly manageable...

... only except that 1 hour wasn't enough for me to win, despite efforts. Level length didn't seem particularly longer at first, compared to HWLev01, but from level 3 onwards they started to take somewhere between 4 to 7 minutes depending on the level, foreknowledge included. I only grabbed three life potions throughout, which wouldn't consume more than a minute. Even then, by level 12a I needed an extra 10 minutes before the Jaffar duel. I'll say it again: your mileage may vary, but time here is certainly very tight.

That aside, there's a lot of highlights too:

- Polished visuals. Author improved with palace detailing.
- The use of the open-door blue potions was quite interesting. They didn't feel too niche or intricate to get. Level 11 got some cool mini-puzzles around them.
- I liked how levels 2 and 3 started and ended in doors nearby each other. They felt like one big level divided into two parts.
- Level 5 was my favorite. Getting the LP felt truly rewarding.
- The setup for the last fat guard in level 6 taught me a trick I wasn't aware of, or rather, a certain outcome from doing a particular trick (in that context). I liked it.
- The mouse in level 8 and shadow in level 12a involve some interesting twists that you must pay attention to. Very cool I must say.
- Level 10 has, imo, the most difficult gate to reach in time, in the set. What I didn't like was one annoying light blue guard, even though there is a way to handle him somewhat consistently.
- I quite liked the use of loose tiles in level 12b, particularly the "trick" needed at the start.
- It surprised me that the princess level wasn't a simple hallway but the ultimate maze instead. I guess I was lucky not to get terminally lost. Made sense, interesting way to cap off your journey.

Overall, a great mod ripe with clever design. It's a shame that time wasn't adjusted to fit this long adventure, it discourages obtaining LPs (that aren't easily accessible at least). Recommended anyways.

Important tip:

- In level 8, after drinking the feather fall potion and dropping yourself until you land near an exit door, do NOT press the raise button and just enter the door (it'll look closed but it's technically open). If you do press on it, the exit door will malfunction and the level must be restarted.
- Regarding the problem above, you could alternatively create a new prince.exe in CusPoP that disables this bug (as well as, why not, raising the time limit to 75 minutes minimum).
