comments: I don't prefer the graphic style in the palace (hard to see triggers) but except this I've enjoyed. Neat pack.

Just checked this one and completed in "one" go (that is, couple ctrl+R aside since time was precious for me). Plus I've been enjoying the dark red suit reskin on my own recently so that was a bonus.

I enjoyed it of course. Very classic adventure design. Difficulty is more mellow than the author's 'levels05' that I had previously played, such that I believe it's feasible to win in a blind playthrough without any serious troubles. You gotta maintain a steady flow, because levels do get gradually lengthier. My final time was 3:54 and I only reloaded in two levels because I wasn't confident enough.

Author's sense of progression is one I find pretty cool. You often revisit the same rooms from different angles, or levels even. The earliest example is how you start level 2 near level 1's exit. In level 4 there is an unreachable door which coincidentally is where you later start in level 5... and so on an on. Additionally there's lots of open ends and areas out of reach, as well as some optional paths. This makes me believe it's all one mega structure, as opposed to each level feeling entirely isolated from the other. Either approach is valid, but the way ecco does it here (and in other sets) is interesting. I should try the 'revisiting rooms thing' myself more often.

Miscellaneous highlights:
- There is clearly an improvement on visual cleanness (mainly in palace environment). Maybe it's also that the blue marble tileset is so beautiful to me.
- The run with several jumps in level 3 was memorable to me, I liked it.
- Somehow maxed in life potions despite missing a few here and there. I was lucky, although they are rather easy to find and obtain.
- One little detail I like is these little areas with many piles of bones and, sometimes, a drop button, suggesting that those were people that died trapped in for eternity. You can see a few of these in, precisely, dungeon levels. That's immersion right there.
- In level 9, there was one particular chomper next to two loose tiles which had me a little nervous at first, but with the right timing I worked it out in one attempt. That's a little setup I'm gonna steal for me someday.

So overall, cool set. I'd recommend to all beginners and classic POP styled enthusiasts.
