I was facing the same problems just a few weeks ago. I think that the main thing is to press the button EXACTLY when the dagger flashes and ONLY then. If you press the button at any other moment, you will fail - if you have a multiple speed kill, just wait for the flashes. Between them press nothing cause if you do you will fail.
As far as Klompa is concerned, the problems are that one speed kill has one flash in a difficult position behind his head (easy to miss) while the other one is easy but requires patience while in his hand. But just keep on, you will eventually do it just as I did (after quite a bit of frustration...).

Bad news: you can NOT fail those first two speedkills. You can mash the attack button at any point and it won’t count against you. Also, the game refuses to go on until you press the attack button when prompted.
