Maybe this is known to all.
Whenever you die, you restart at a checkpoint. Just before you died, if you have lost some health, then your health is restored to full after restart. But any sand tanks used up by you, will not be restored.
So if you low on health, then better die and start again!!

May not be new. But did POP 1 & 2 have it? I don't remember. Its been almost 12 years since I have played them seriously. Wolfenstien did not have it if I remember correctly.

PoP1 and 2 both had it. Also, in them, you get full health at start of each level, and when restarting from checkpoints. Wolfenstein 3D did not. _________________ Planescape Torment is a great CRPG with the most beautifulsoundtrack.
The Ur-Quan Masters (SC2) has great music too!

You may laugh at me, but there was a time when I could have completed a couple of levels in POP 1 blind-folded! Yet I remember very little of it. Also POP 2. I remember one level where you have to jump onto a horse and it takes you further. I had the timing completely by heart. No stopping until I jumped onto the horse.
