I know this will start a very heated debate, etc., but I feel that the save points are too far apart. Though in the begining of the game the save points are near & the levels are also fairly easy, but as you proceed to the higher levels, the save ponts are too far apart.
I mean this is a game and is meant to provide you some entertainment. That means you don't have hours to spend on completing it. Maybe play a couple of mins/max an hour a day. First time you are playing (esp if you haven't played the previous two, SOT & WW) this is really frustrating.
Like right now I am stuck with the twins and everytime I want to attempt, I have to play the charriot race, then try these guys and GOD knows what comes after, till the next save point? A similar one is the TEMPLE level.
Also the cinematics are too irritating and time consuming. Everytime you retry you have to go through the cinematics.
This is not a poll, but how many of you guys sympathise with me and how many want to hurl stones at me?

The game has got checkpoints,so if ya die when ya beat the twins ya have a chance to continue from the battle beginning. If ya die in the chairot race,ya must start the level again. _________________ The Dahaka wants to talk to us! !ahakaD eht morf sepasce eno on҉ tcrtsed eht elinimeT rouy rehtaf҉ emoc ot em,emoc no htead!!҉ rouY dne si raen.҉ ouY lliw eb devomer!҉

When you complete the game, you will get used to it; you can complete half the game in a single go.

I agree, very frustrating. They should have added a save point right before the twins...

Once you watch a cinematic, you can dismiss it the next time. _________________ Those days are all gone now but one thing's still true -

How do you "dismiss" a cinematic Jalal?
BTW I am not talking about the retry option. I am talking from save point to save point. As I mentioned earlier, I would not have time to sit and finish it in one go, esp with the save points being far apart in the later parts of the game. Many times I have to quit while I am trying to defeat the twins. And then I will have to start at the charriot race again.
Maybe Ubisoft intended this game only for the teens. Not for other people like me, who would like a diversion from routine office work.

You cannot skip the cutscene , unless you loose after it and the checkpoint is before the cutscene .
I agree that the saves are too far from each other ,especially in the Chariot/Twins/Tower level .
Sometimes T2T just freeze and I have no option ,but to restart my computer , so each time I beat twins or the chriot race I pray that the computer won't freeze untill I savethe game _________________ Neogogeta

I think you're quite right, pop12-fan. I mean, for me, a teenager, they do not seem far apart, but for people who have less time, such as you, that's a real problem. I haven't thought about it before. Indeed, it depends on whose point of view you are.
As for cinematics, when you've seen them once, you can press mouse button 1 to skip them. But it does not work every time; for instance, if the twins kill you, you'll have to watch the cinematic with one twin and the Prince rolling into the arena everytime you retry.
However, once you kill the twins, you get the chance to save the game. _________________ Still round the corner there may wait

No , you have to watch how Prince and Farah is saved from an army of te sandmonsters and you have to go through another Dark Prince transformation . And only then you can save the game . Unless you're talking about a checkpoint . _________________ Neogogeta

I hated POP 3D, but the only thing I liked about it was the feature to save game, whenever I wanted to. Then I could come back and start from there. Thats the reason I could finish, if I may call, that stupid game. Please don't take offence if you liked that one.
I understand that if you are allowed the freedom to save at will, people will save after every small thing, and you may call it cheating. But then, let that guy decide how he/she wants to finish the game. When I pay through my nose for a game at least let me have some choice.
Let me give you a classic example. I purchased cricekt 2007 from EA sports. Then I was told that the game controls were fixed and I couldn't reconfig them. Now most of the controls were on the left hand side of the keyboard and I was not very confortable with it. So result is that it is lying on my shelf!! Now what would you call that?

Right... I meant a checkpoint. _________________ Still round the corner there may wait

Checkpoints can be pretty far away as well. I was really about to lose my nerves when I failed a jump and died at the Palace entrance after having completed the life upgrade - I had to do it from the beginning of the level! That was a tough one.
But yes, I was thinking of the save point before the twins as well. But on the other hand - we all know that the king's road is the most difficult level in TTT. So maybe it is better having to do it in one try and then being certain that nothing will be that difficult anymore than splitting it in more parts.

I agree it wasn't smart to have the save point before the chariot race.. normally when I first load up a saved game I like to take a minute or so to get used to the controls again - impossible when you're trying not to smash into the wall.
But as for the rest of the game, I think it just makes it more challenging, and I enjoy redoing the levels cause it gives me a chance to practice and be sure of what I'm doing.
And I have an office job too, but I still love playing it just as much as when I'm on holiday.
