we're way off topic here, but anyway: I realized that I had gone too far in insulting the little spammer, he's just a kid after all. I made more posts about mk1994 than I did about PoP, so I realized I was worse than a spammer What I said, I still believe, I just don't think it's necessary to say it 10 more times Besides, recent events (aka the whole Butcher thing) have shown that there are worse people here than just a spammer. At least mk1994 is only a kid, he has a chance to improve himself, Butcher is just pathetic.

Ok, back now. Any ideas of ripping models and textures?

wingedwolf: what do you mean? and what does it have to do with this topic?
Okay...but how do I download it? _________________ "You give me power, you give me reason, will you love me? Time only knows."
Cindy Gomez - Time Only Knows
You click on "free" on the page it shows you, then you have to enter the code that appears in the picture, and then click "Download". It's very simple, really. _________________ "I want to dance", she said and quickly turned away

oh, and for people to find out how the game looks like i made a GamePlay video:

Yeah, at least models uses polygonal skin animations and does have some great lip stuff. But it's still a bit hard. The camera sucks, and and movement is a bit too fast. Like when you just click up (or W for me) key to run towards, Ali runs about 3 meters. Almost the same happens in Ashgan:The Dragon slayer, but by walking back. So it seems like Silmarils (the developers who made the both games) did make some same mistakes for the gameplay in both games. Also, i am pretty sure that Arabian Nights uses Asghan engine, but it has become much better. _________________ So, the best Prince Of Persia games are all of them except Warrior Within... that isn't prince, thats psycho!
well, the controls are way too sensitive, exactly as wingedwolf said: I press W and Ali runs so fast that the camera can't follow. Btw, the camera has a looot of problems. And the fighting system kinda sucks: If you let 3 enemies close in on you, they take turns in hitting you and you cannot move, you die in no-time. _________________ "I want to dance", she said and quickly turned away

well, then you have two ways:
1. Start blocking.
2. Jump over the enemies. _________________ So, the best Prince Of Persia games are all of them except Warrior Within... that isn't prince, thats psycho!

Howdy, noobie fleetp typing at you.
I downloaded Arabian Nights Episode 1 and following the advice on this thread was able to get the video part of the game to run.
However, I have no sound. I checked the box for 16 bit stereo, and tried turning up the volume in the in-game options settings, but nothing came from my speakers.
I'm running Windows XP (SP2); my sound card is Soundblaster X-fi XtremeGamer. I have DirectX 9c installed on my desktop pc.
I noticed that each time I start the game it activates the 'Mute' checkblock for Wave files in my volume control box.
When I remove the checkmark, I can click on the wav files and they play, but when I start the game I get no sounds. Exiting the game, I see that the checkmark has returned. I ran DXDIAG and set the hardware acceleration to no acceleration on the Sound 1 tab, but that didn't make any difference.
Any suggestions?
best regards,

i have similar problem, only i do have sounds. Only the volume is down, but still, when i turn up my sub-woofer (i hope i spelled it correct) i have sound. _________________ So, the best Prince Of Persia games are all of them except Warrior Within... that isn't prince, thats psycho!
how about starting the game, alt+tab'ing, removing the mute and then going back to the game? _________________ "I want to dance", she said and quickly turned away
"Well then," he said, "Will you dance with me today?"
Because after doing that the game crashes. _________________ So, the best Prince Of Persia games are all of them except Warrior Within... that isn't prince, thats psycho!

Thanks for the suggestion, but when I alt-tab out of Arabian Nights to try to do that, the game crashes (like wingedman). So I go and remove the checkmark from the the mute box for wav files, go back into the game, and still no sound. I go back to the volume control, and the darned mute block is checked gain. (mumble, mumble).
regards,
fleet
Edit: I wonder if my problem is because I'm playing the demo version of episode 1, and not the 'full version'... _________________ Why? I like big ones; that's why.
